>> On Thursday 4/17/25, Delray Beach Police Officer Matthew Cusson was arrested on a charge of grand theft. Officer Cusson is accused of stealing $1500 dollars in investigative funds from the Vice Intelligence Unit. The missing money was discovered by a supervisor, who took immediate action.
As part of our commitment to transparency, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation and ultimately made the arrest. The Delray Beach Police Department is fully cooperating with the investigation. Officer Cusson has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of both the criminal and internal investigations.
