
BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boynton Beach woman who police say improperly turned on a red light is dead following a multi-car crash Wednesday night. It happened at the intersection of Boynton Beach Boulevard and Hagen Ranch Road around 7:08 p.m.
According to police in a statement to BocaNewsNow.com, Linda Zitofsky, 75, of Crescent View Drive in Boynton Beach was traveling eastbound on Boynton Beach Boulevard and “began improperly turning left onto Hagen Ranch Road under a red traffic signal.” She was driving a 2020 Toyota Camry. The driver of a 2025 Cadillac Escalade was traveling westbound on Boynton Beach Boulevard within the center lane.
“During the crash, the front right of Zitofsky’s Camry impacted into the front of the Cadillac Escalade. As the crash ensued, the Camry and the Escalade rotated and came to rest in the intersection.
Prior to stopping the front of the Camry impacted into the front of a third vehicle, a Chevrolet, which had been stopped in the southbound right turning lane of Hagen Ranch Road.”
The drivers of the Camry and the Escalade, and the three occupants of the Escalade, were transported to Delray Medical Center. Linda Zitofsky, the driver of the Camry, underwent surgery but died three hours later from injuries sustained in the crash.
