BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Military Trail at SW 18th Street is closed Thursday morning following a critical crash just before 6 a.m. The road remains closed at 7:45 a.m.
According to sources familiar with the emergency response, a man believed to be in his 50s was on a bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle. It was not immediately clear who may be responsible or the crash. The man was rushed to Delray Medical Center in critical condition.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash. Traffic Homicide experts investigate most crashes that lead to serious or critical injuries. The unit’s involvement does not automatically mean that someone has died or is expected to die.
Expect the road to be closed for much of the morning. We encourage you to find alternate routes to stay away from the intersection of Military and SW 18th.
