TRAFFIC ALERT
TRAFFIC ALERT

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A reminder if you plan to take I-95 southbound tomorrow night and exit at Palmetto Park Road. The exit will be closed from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. for construction.

The closure started Sunday night and remained in place until this morning. No closure is expected tonight (Monday night) but it is on the schedule for Tuesday night. The work involves milling on the southbound exit ramp. Traffic will be diverted to Hillsboro Boulevard, but you can also exit at Glades Road and take any North-South road to get yourself around the problem.

The Florida Department of Transportation continues massive I-95 work which includes the installation of “smart signals” designed to better control the flow of traffic.

  1. The ramp meters are very dangerous and a major death will result from them. They aren’t even working most of the time which makes them more confusing. They are also en enormous waste of gas and adding pollution from cars needlessly braking and accelerating.
