A man was apparently electrocuted in a tree in Boynton Beach.

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man found dead in a tree in the Ocean Ridge section of East Boynton Beach was apparently electrocuted. Boynton Beach Fire Rescue issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com shortly after the incident on Wednesday:

>> Around 10:50 a.m. Boynton Beach Fire Rescue responded to a report of smoke in the air near David Lane in Ocean Ridge. Upon arrival, firefighters located an individual who was stuck in a tree. Firefighters observed a live wire nearby and immediately contacted Florida Power & Light to shut off power to the area.

Once FP&L confirmed the power was shut off, firefighters performed a high-angle rescue to access the patient. The individual was confirmed deceased on scene. The investigation is ongoing. <<

With strong storms moving in and out of South Florida, everyone is advised to stay out of trees. The identity of the victim was not immediately available. Check back for updates.
