KINGS POINT DELRAY BEACH ARREST COUNT: 55 Since 2025, 25 This Year.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — An accused strangler living in the senior community of Kings Point Delray Beach is the 75th arrest of a Kings Point resident since 2023. Leonard Brown of Burgundy J in Kings Point remains in jail Monday morning following his Thursday arrest. Brown is the 55th recorded arrest since 2024 and the 25th this year.
A police report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com alleges that Brown — in a drunken state — knocked a woman he knows to the ground, repeatedly struck her, then placed his hands around her neck. The victim claimed that he said he would squeeze harder “if she didn’t stop screaming.”
The woman was able to flee to a neighbor who called the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. A Deputy later found Brown, according to a sworn statement, “passed out in the bedroom extremely intoxicated.” Brown was taken into custody and charged with “battery — commit domestic battery by strangulation.” He is being held on $15,000 bond.

Leonard Brown, 55, joins a long list of other Kings Point Delray Beach residents accused of crimes over the past several years. Among the alleged crimes committed by residents, for which they are sometimes convicted: sex crimes, drug crimes, weapons crimes, battery, possession of illegal images involving children, DUI, and more. Unofficial records maintained by BocaNewsNow.com suggest that there is no other senior living community in South Palm Beach County with more residents jailed over the past several years than Kings Point — with 75 arrests since 2023.
