BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The City of Boynton Beach announced Wednesday that it removed the “pride” intersection in the area of 100 East Ocean Avenue. Seen above from Google Earth, the “Pride Flag” is now covered with normal street color asphalt. City Officials say it’s not a “city” decision, but a move required by Republican-led state and federal agencies. Here is the official statement provided to BocaNewsNow.com:

>> The City of Boynton Beach has removed the inclusionary-painted intersection on the 100 block of East Ocean Avenue to ensure full compliance with state and federal transportation mandates and address safety concerns.

The decision follows recent guidance from the U.S. Transportation Secretary and the Florida Department of Transportation, including Memo 25-01, which establishes specific requirements for roadway markings and materials. Additionally, the city has determined that the current paint application was not rated for vehicular traffic conditions, creating potential concerns for motorist safety.

“While we recognize the symbolic importance of this intersection to our community, we must prioritize public safety and regulatory compliance,” said City Manager Daniel Dugger. “The city remains committed to finding appropriate ways to honor and celebrate our diverse community and will consider alternative memorial options at a future date.” <<

  1. Don’t push your agenda on others. We are tired of this BS being accepted like it’s normal Americana and it’s far from the moral fabric our country was built upon.
