Rales JFS shared this announcement with BocaNewsNow.com:
>> Rales Jewish Family Services (Rales JFS) is proud to announce the receipt of two significant state appropriations that will enhance the lives of seniors and working families in South Palm Beach County.
Florida currently ranks 43rd nationally in access to Long-Term Services and Supports for seniors, according to AARP. This alarming statistic highlights the urgent need for programs that help older adults remain independent and connected within their communities. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Senator Lori Berman and Representative Peggy Gossett-Seidman, Rales JFS has secured funding for Aging in Place with Grace, a comprehensive senior services initiative. This program will provide:
- Home-delivered meals
- Transportation
- Recreational activities
- Care management
- Home care
- Access to vital community resources
“Aging in Place with Grace is designed to support the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of our seniors,” said Danielle Hartman, President & CEO of Rales JFS. “We are deeply grateful to Senator Berman and Representative Gossett-Seidman for their commitment to helping older adults gain access to vital socialization and other services, including the ability to age in place with dignity and independence.” Representative Gossett-Seidman added, “I am extremely grateful to the Govenor as well as my house colleagues for putting through a great appropriation for the outstanding and well deserving community at Rales JFS.”
In addition, Senator Tina Polsky and Representative Debra Tendrich have championed funding for the Keep Families Working Summer Camp Scholarship Program. This initiative addresses the critical need for families to access affordable summer care for children from low- to moderate-income households, so their parents and caregivers can continue to remain gainfully employed.
Without access to structured summer programs, children risk falling behind socially, emotionally, and academically. The scholarship program ensures that families can access safe, enriching camp experiences while parents maintain employment and household stability. Tina Polsky shared,”I am very grateful to have sponsored and helped to secure this funding request for Rales JFS. The amazing work they do for our seniors, youth, and entire community strengthens our home and embodies our Jewish values.”
“These appropriations reflect a strong commitment to the well-being of our entire community—from our youngest to our oldest members, and we are grateful for the partnership of our elected officials who provide a voice in Tallahassee to advocate for these important funds on behalf of our community” Hartman added.
