>> The Crisis Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Replacement Program, through LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program), is working to assist low-income Palm Beach County homeowners in need of replacing their home’s HVAC system, with assistance up to $15,000; this money can be used to replace their home cooling system.
Clients must be income-eligible and live in Palm Beach County. Completed applications must show one or more of the following:
- Must reside in Palm Beach County and own their home
- Must meet income eligibility requirements
- Must document a crisis, such as:
- An inoperable HVAC system that no longer heats or cools
- An HVAC unit that is at least 7 years old (with proof of high energy bills)
- A medical need for a controlled environment (with documentation from a medical provider)
