Emergency Repairs Should Be Complete By End Of Week.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The emergency repair work following a busted underground water pipe near Central Park Boulevard and U.S. 441 continues to snarl traffic on Tuesday. One northbound lane continues to be blocked which — as anyone who regularly drives 441 appreciates — is causing huge headaches for everyone else.
The news, however, is good. The emergency roadwork should be complete by the end of the week, according to the Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department.
“The work is ongoing in the single westernmost northbound lane closest to the median in the area of Central Park Blvd. and US-441/State Rd. 7,” said Spokesperson Beth Motschenbacher in a statement to BocaNewsNow.com. “All utility repairs have been completed, and today the Palm Beach County Engineer inspected the site and approved it for next steps. Tomorrow milling and grading will continue with all work on track to be completed by the end of the week.”
The problems started Monday as repair crews rushed into action to repair the underground pipe. We encourage you to keep an eye on your mapping app of choice. Both Apple Maps and Google Maps continue to show a lot of “red” in the area which can be translated as: “use Lyons Road if possible between Palmetto Park Road and Glades Road.”
