>> Florida Atlantic University will confer nearly 1,800 degrees during three commencement ceremonies on Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., in the Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium, Student Union, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.
Tuesday’s ceremonies will feature speaker Carly Yoost, co-creator and board chair of Child Rescue Coalition, a nonprofit organization centered on building technology for law enforcement to hunt online predators.
An FAU alumna, she was awarded the FAU President’s Distinguished Service Medallion in 2019 and the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science Distinguished Alumni Award in 2023.
