BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It’s a very busy day for police and professional rescuers in South Palm Beach County. Instead of each incident on this Thursday generating its own story, we are consolidating incidents.

HAZMAT INCIDENT

Hazardous Materials rescue workers are on the scene of what is believed to be an underground gas leak in the area of East Linton Boulevard and South Ocean Boulevard in Delray Beach. The regional HazMat team is on the scene as of 3 p.m, which includes emergency responders from Delray Beach and Boca Raton. AS of 3:04 p.m., at least 14 units have been dispatched to the scene.

BIKE CRASH

Boca Raton Police and Boca Raton Fire Rescue responded to a car versus bicycle crash in the area of Spanish River Boulevard and North Military Trail around 11 a.m. A bicyclist was injured and transported to Boca Raton Regional Hospital. The investigation continues.

I-95 CRASH

We reported earlier on the crash on I-95 near Spanish River Blvd. That incident is now under investigation by Florida Highway Patrol.
