Less Than Three Months After Grindr Sting, Days After Violating Bond…

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Delray Beach resident Ande Anderson is officially a sex offender. Anderson entered a guilty plea on Tuesday, less than three months after his initial sex crime arrest and just day after allegedly violating the terms of his bond.
Anderson, 40, was arrested back in April when he thought he was meeting a teen boy on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach for a sexual encounter. Anderson befriended the boy on “Grindr.” But it turned out the boy was actually an undercover detective with the Delray Beach Police Department. Anderson was arrested and charged with two counts of “obscene communication — travel to meet after using computer to lure child,” and one count of “public order crimes — use two way communication device to commit felony.”
After posting more than $50,000 bond, Anderson was allegedly found just days ago in a Boca Raton homeowner association’s hot tub. In the tub with him: two teen boys. That led prosecutors to seek a revocation of his bond. At a hearing Tuesday, Anderson entered a guilty plea to the one count of “traveling to meet a minor to commit an unlawful sexual act” and one count of “unlawful use of two way communications device.” He was sentenced to two years in prison and declared a sex offender. He’ll be on probation for three years following his release.
Anderson worked in the hospitality field and listed his home address as the 2000 block of SW 22nd Avenue. A judge agreed that Anderson should be housed in a South Florida Department of Corrections facility.
