Entitled. Self-Absorbed. Socially Inept. Rude. Welcome To Our Weekly Look At Locals And Visitors Behaving Poorly.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — If you think that adults are generally good people who are kind, caring, self-aware, and wanting to present themselves in a way to not offend others, you clearly are not living in South Palm Beach County. Boca Rudeton is back for August 17, 2025, full of people who are just plain rude.

We start at Boca Raton Town Center Mall where the woman seen above apparently needed to rest after what must have been some heavy-duty shopping. Why else would she need to put her feet on chairs that are designed for sitting? There are no signs saying, “yes rude lady, put your feet up on this chair and play on your phone.” We are also unaware of these chairs really ever being cleaned. So we ask: “what the hell are you thinking? Why, ma’am, are you so rude?”

Let’s stay at the mall for our next Boca Rudeton nominee as we see this couple proudly walking a dog in Boca Raton Town Center Mall. If Simon Property Group (NYSE: SPG) ever wonders why its malls are failing and Amazon is soaring, look no further than this image, or the images we often post of dogs leaving poop behind in the mall. Shopping online is a pleasant experience. Going to the mall and seeing people walking their dogs, and having to navigate around dog poop, is not.

Also gross, Chipotle (NYSE: CMG). Not necessarily the food itself (although sometimes), but walking into the fast casual chain in Delray Beach and seeing a man and his animal in a location where food is served. Not only is it illegal, it’s just disgusting. Chipotle has suffered a rather significant stock drop over the past six months. One has to wonder if letting animals inside a restaurant that the company wants people to believe is clean could be part of the problem.

Also gross, this woman with her dog in Poppies Deli at 4900 Linton Boulevard in Delray Beach. We’ve written quite a bit about health inspection problems at Poppies, and the dog problem that apparently continues. We don’t know why anyone would think it’s okay to have your dog on your lap in a restaurant where the dog’s mouth is hovering (potentially slobbering) on a table meant for humans. We also don’t know why Poppies, which keeps getting cited for problems, doesn’t seemingly do anything to solve its problems.

The same is apparently true at “Bagels With” in Delray Beach. We’ve written about this restaurant as well. This time, our tipster caught a woman with her dog waiting in line. Dogs are not allowed in restaurants in Florida. It’s just that simple. Why is this rude woman carrying her pooch inside? Why is “Bagels With” doing nothing about it? Do we think a health inspector may soon return? Just wondering…
That brings us to our weekly reminder of Florida law when it comes dogs. As always, we thank LaBamba in Delray Beach for promoting — and following — the law.

On with Boca Rudeton…

In Publix on South Cypress Road in Pompano Beach, this woman apparently told a customer that she’s allowed to have the dog in the store because she has asthma. Can we think about that for a moment? How is this dog going to help someone who has asthma? Might it administer an inhaler? And if so, how exactly does that happen? Does the dog pull the inhaler off of its leash, open the woman’s mouth with its paws while simultaneously grasping an inhaler and pushing it? Or does it magically pull out its D-Phone and call for help? Publix has huge signs everywhere saying no pets. Our suggestion: if you’re going to make up a story, at least make up one that’s plausible.

To parking now and Flakowitz in Boynton Beach (7410 Boynton Beach Boulevard). That’s the recent scene of the image above. The white Lexus LS500 with Florida plate K35UH apparently started the problem by inexplicably parking OVER the parking spot divider. That left the van with a handicapped tag — a van that legitimately needed to use the handicapped space — to have to park on its divider. Driver of Lexus with Florida plate K35UH, we humbly suggest that you need to learn how to park.
So who is this week’s winner? Our judges have crunched the numbers and counted and recounted like it’s the 2000 election. We have to go with … the woman with her feet on the chair at Boca Raton Town Center Mall. We know it’s not the norm — our winner doesn’t have a dog and isn’t parking poorly. But there is something SO BOCA about this woman putting her feet on a chair in a public area. Again, it’s a chair meant for people, not feet. She has to be our winner. Readers of Boca Rudeton know that we don’t really give prizes, but if we did, it would be a pair of shoes that say “I.M.” on the left side and “DISGUSTING” on the right. Let’s look at her one more time:

Please stop. Seriously. Your stuff isn’t funny…You just sound like a scold. We get it. You think you’re better than everyone else. The world is negative enough. Find another, more productive hobby.
I hope they keep publishing these photos and these complaints! People have become so over the top rude thinking that the whole world is their personal space. If you don’t like their reporting, too bad.
If the managers don’t care enough to tell these people to leave it’s not going to change. This gets old.
Agree, My God it’s not going to change – Get over it!
Inconsiderate people who foist their animals on others deserve to be called out. You may not think it’s a big deal but others do.
Dolt! It “sounds like a scold” because it IS a scold. Perhaps you don’t have a clue!
What is your problem? Who gives a rats ass. Most dogs in Boca are cleaner than the average human. Last time I checked people make people sick so your schtick for people w/ dogs is complete and udder nonsense. I’m not catching COVID from a dog, but another human will lovingly give it to you. Never once have I seen a single drop Of poop in Town Center. It’s extremely hot for dogs, so the mall provides a retreat- and no one is complaining but your website. Report News, not sensationalism…. You are more likely to get someone’s hair in your food than a dogs. Let’s chill out. Good on parking, but given the person is probably 200 years old who was driving that Lexus… give them some slack, although they shouldn’t be driving IMO.
🙂
Just because you have fetish for Dog hair in your food doesn’t mean everyone else does as well! That’s who gives Rat’s ass that you when you break the law. That and those with an allergy.
As to your claim that you are more likely to get Human hair in your food. You are full of feces since your dog does a lot more shaking of it fur covered body then a human does it’s head.
Excuse me but it’s Rat’s Mouth not Rat’s Ass. LOL
There are people who are afraid of dogs. Don’t they have a right to shop in peace?
You could not be more sorely mistaken. I was enduring the absolute delight of back-to-school shopping when I was treated to the sight of a dog casually defecating outside the Apple Store. Its owner, in some grand act of “acknowledgment,” decided the best course of action was to shuffle away—leaving behind a steaming pile as their parting gift to society.
Stan, it isn’t until one of these Rudetons gets poopy on their Dolce G’s and falls (then sues the mall, eatery) will they get it. However, there is the huge payoff. Mmmm?
DOGSgalore, obviously you “give a rats ass” since you read the article and posted something really DUMB!!! Seriously, you do seem to care or you wouldn’t have posted anything. Just own it dude!
I personally witnessed a very large dog with his owners and kids poop near the playground area. It was more like diarrhea and it was absolutely nasty and disgusting. So you may not have had this experience, but others have. It does happen. The mall is NOT A DOG PARK. BTW, the owners were embarrassed and horrified. Also, please note, there are people highly allergic to animals which is reason enough to leave animals in their air conditioned home.
Please keep it up! Too many dogs in grocery stores and restaurants where pets are not allowed. Shaming these people probably won’t change their behavior but maybe the stores will finally start enforcing the law. And I have seen dog poop in the mall on several occasions , with their befuddled owners wondering what to do….leave the pet home!
WHAT IS YOUR DEAL????? IS THIS A REAL PAPER OR A BUNCH OF WHINY OLD PEOPLE GETTING TOGETHER TO WRITE ABOUT WHAT BOTHERS YOU? It seems NO ONE in any of these pictures cares about the dogs the way you do. If the stores cared, their employees should and will say something. WRITE ABOUT REAL stuff, not BS. Any why do you feel the need to post pics of license plates? Why don’t you just DOX the next cop you see? You’re probably raging liberals.
The only one raging is Snowflake Cindy.
👍
Cindy, why do you bring “liberal” into the conversation? Has no relevance just as your comment has no relevance. Kind of pathetic to be honest just like your life must be. Seriously, take your entitled a-s away as we’re laughing at your drivel!!!
I’m with you on everything except for dogs at the mall. Towne Center is a self proclaimed “dog friendly” mall. They put dog water bowls at all entrances.
What other laws should be overlooked because people do care about health laws and others…?
Who is scolding? Looks like R C!
Chill out?? Oh YOU NEVER saw dog poop in the mall! That means it doesn’t or hasn’t
Happened? Most dogs are cleaner than average human? Many dogs stick their noses in own or other dog butts. Can you do that?
Keep up the articles! Think any of these people pictured get embarrassed or do,it again?
If so, a few less dog pictures will begin to appear. GREAT,
We reside on Long Island NY and spend the winter months in Boca. It is VERY rare to see dogs where we shop in NY. Nonetheless, I wipe the interior of the cart with a hand wipe just to be on the safe side. I wonder what the people who bring dogs into stores in FL do to be sure they are not taking home more than they bargained for.
I agree wholeheartedly with this newspaper and their rant against dogs and rudeness. I am disgusted when I go to a market, restaurant, or a store where people have their pets walking, in a handbag, or worse yet a baby carriage. These are animals NOT BABIES!
Cat Owners?
Steven, my cat couldn’t be bothered. She’d rather be comfortably ensconced in AC bliss while owning the place in total peace. Besides, she opined, too many dogs at the mall and local eateries. LOL Rock on, friend.
Thank you again for the continuing shaming and blaming of these rude people, but let’s not just call them rude and allow commenters to dismiss it with remarks like “Who gives a rats ass” or “Please stop. Seriously. Your stuff isn’t funny…You just sound like a scold.”
It’s not just rude, it’s illegal and it needs to be stopped because it has become too common and proprietors have not taken charge of their own businesses and enforced the laws by making these people leave their establishments. There should be penalties for the customers who break the law, and penalties for the companies who fail to enforce it.
Cat owner?
Plus the dogs are among the homeliest breeds. Little yappy lapdogs with no purpose other than being an accessory for a botox-riddled local.
LOL
Now that’s funny….and true!!
There are plenty of ridiculous laws in this country and this state. Until someone can show me real evidence that their health was harmed by a dog in a deli, grocery store, or fast-food chain, I’m not buying it. Honestly, you’re far more likely to have an asthma attack walking through the parking lot on your way into Publix—just so you can snap a photo of a dog owner to send to some pointless newspaper—than from sitting next to a dog while you eat.
Everybody in Boca has a dog. You are clearly not from Boca if that’s so disturbing for you.
I’m waiting for one of these dogs to bite or viciously attack someone inside the establishment.
$$$$$$ not only will the dog owner but the store who allows this nonsense to happen be sued.
We’ve become oblivious to the rudeness in Boca. It’s become the norm to lay on the horn at lights as soon as it turns green, dog butts sitting in shopping carts & feet (even without shoes) in chairs anywhere. Boca residents have become commoners, over populated & no longer the small town friendly environment we once were pre-Covid.
“Everybody in Boca has a dog. You are clearly not from Boca if that’s so disturbing for you.”
That is such an ironic statement. As I mentioned in my first complaint to Publix a few years ago, about 40% of American households have a dog. Now imagine if 40% of the customers at a store or a restaurant had their dog with them. What kind of situation would that be? If you are reasonable, you should be able to understand that it would not be a reasonable, desirable, or acceptable situation.
Are you reasonable?
I’m glad you post these pictures. It is so draining listening to people defend crimes. This is why America is turning into a sh*thole. People feel they can just break the law because it doesn’t suit them, and then they want others to agree with them.
The lady with her feet on the chair is disgusting! She lacks any decorum despite her attempt to dress the part. As the saying goes, you can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.
The lady at the restaurant with the dog at the countertop should be arrested.
Rather than focusing on dogs in restaurants, a more interesting segment would be showing how much these restaurants charge on their menus so people can avoid places that gouge
Take a Xanax, Cindy. These dogs are disgusting, there’s more than once I’ve stepped around dog poop in Towne Center and they just don’t seem to care. Too many people around here are just waaay too entitled and just do whatever they want. I’m rooting that this column starts waking up the business owners and give them the ammo to stand up to these POS people.
Keep up the great work ! The negative comments come from careless people who one day may appear in your article!
I think it’s disgusting that people bring there dogs in stores where food is served and sold. Being a dog owner, I would never bring my well trained dog to these establishments.
These stores don’t want to ask them to leave because the word will get around and it could hurt business
Went last weekend to Town Center Mall and counted the first 20 dogs I saw and then stopped counting. It has become the Boca Town Center Mall Dog Park.
Yes i agree this dog thing is getting so old . no one really cares
find something else that has some value & meaning to post.
every week its the same thing OMG the world is getting so bad imagine there is a dog in a store !!!
Please stop
That is what happens when FL lets in a continual stream of inconsiderate, ignorant, careless, thoughtless, selfish, narrow minded, New Yorkers. Don’t see people from other parts of the country behaving like this.
