The heat index, according to the National Weather Service, is expected to hit — or surpass — 107 degrees.

Making matters potentially worse, there are no tropical systems in the Atlantic right now that could could days of downpours to the region. The National Weather Service says nearly half of Palm Beach County is considered to be suffering from a “drought.”
Looking ahead, the temperatures may be slightly cooler after Tuesday, but “slightly” means only by a few degrees. The heat is expected continue through Labor Day weekend. The early Labor Day forecast is calling for a high near 91 with “showers and thunderstorms likely.”
