  1. Sadly, I have noticed “local” municipalities’ police cars recklessly speeding on the Turnpike (and I-95) sometimes at speeds that appear to be over 100 mph. Certainly, a Miami Gardens police car would not have any valid reason to be speeding for any reason in Boca Raton or elsewhere outside Miami Gardens. Please note I am not implying this police car was speeding or driving recklessly, but, just saying.

If you recall, several years ago a State Trooper issued a ticket to one of those reckless speeders and, because of severe retribution from the police community, after being bullied and ostracized relentlessly, she was forced to leave the force. Perhaps this behavior continues today.

  2. I was there when this happened. First, the scene could have and should have been handled more efficiently. The two vehicles needed to be moved to the side instead of leaving both in the middle of the turnpike during rush hour! Second, the vehicle was driving in the left lane SLOWER than the flow of traffic. This is a common occurrence and it causes issues. The amount of units which appeared were more than enough to assist in moving the vehicles to the side. Sadly South Florida is adopting third world road habits which only get worse as the doors are left open….
