
BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Robert Lee Gipson of Ashley Lake Drive in unincorporated Boynton Beach is facing multiple charges relating to the shooting death of a man in his community and the wounding of two others. We first reported on the shootings just after police arrived on the scene on August 10th. Here is the update from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office:
“During the course of this investigation, Robert Lee Gipson, was developed as the suspect. An arrest warrant was procured for first degree murder, two counts of aggravated battery with a firearm, and felon in possession of a firearm. On September 2, 2025, Gipson self-surrendered to the Palm Beach County Jail.”

”On Sunday, August 10, 2025, shortly before midnight, deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 5000 block of Ashley Lake Drive, unincorporated Boynton Beach. Upon arrival, deputies located three individuals — one male and two females — suffering from gunshot wounds. The male victim succumbed to his injuries, while the two female victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division are actively investigating this shooting/homicide. At this time, the suspect’s identity and motive remain unknown.”

Gipson is being held without bond.
