Jog Road is often the scene of speeding in the afternoon as multiple schools in the area are released. Police often patrol the area of traffic infractions. We’ll update this report when we learn more from PBSO.

Jog Rd isn’t exclusive to speeding drivers. Any road in Palm Beach County, and adjacent counties are common for speeding drivers, because they’re ALLOWED to speed.
I live very close to the scene of this accident and can absolutely confirm that people drive entirely too fast on this stretch of road – and starting at around 3:15 or so there are a number of younger drivers that are often the offenders, as they leave the school on Linton. But it is drivers of all ages at every rush hour, not just the younger ones. PBSO would be welcome to set up some radar on this stretch of road.
70 is the new 45MPH
I live near Jog and Linton. Speed is not the problem. Constant changing of lanes in traffic is the problem. Not signaling of a lane change is the problem. Talking on a cellphone is the problem. Slow drivers in the fast lane is the problem.
perfect storm for car accidents all over Jogg based on mix of drivers that are to old to still be driving, spoiled high school kids flying around cutting off other drivers, aggressive driving red necks in pick ups, and your other assorted nut jobs texting as they drive. I’ve seen more accidents then I can count on the northbound side of Jogg just be for the intersection of West Atlantic with cars exiting the shopping center on the east side trying to beat oncoming traffic. 3 pm to 6 pm i find to be the most dangerous.
Living life in the fast lane and 50 is the norm on the 35MPH section of Spanish River Blvd.
I would love to agree that we have an epidemic of terrible drivers out there but for the record speed had nothing to do with this vehicle accident.
