BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The City of Boca Raton Monday announced that it’s time to buy — or renew — permits for beach access and admission to several recreational facilities. We encourage you to check out the links, below, for specific rules. Some permits are only available to City of Boca Raton residents, while others are available to Palm Beach County residents.

From the City of Boca Raton: “Residents are urged to review the permit details, rules, and locations to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience. Current 2024-2025 permits will remain valid until September 30, 2025.”

The Annual Recreation Permits include:

  • Annual Beach Vehicle Entry Permit:
    • Provides vehicle access to parking areas at Boca Raton beach parks. Parking access to specific beach parks is determined by your residency. For more information on access, pricing, and regulations, visit www.myboca.us/beachpermits.
  • Annual Boat Launch & Trailer Permit:
    • Provides access to the boat launch and trailer parking at Silver Palm Park. To find out more about pricing and regulations, visit www.myboca.us/boatpermits.
  • Bark Beach Dog Entry Permit:
    • Allows your dog entry to Bark Beach, a designated dog area at Spanish River Park beach during specific hours. For times, price and rules please visit www.myboca.us/barkbeach. (Please note that this permit does not include parking at the beach park.)
  • Dog Park Vehicle Permit:
    • Allows you to park at Boca Raton’s Mizner Bark dog park. Learn more about the rules and additional information at www.myboca.us/MiznerBark‘s.

How to Purchase an Annual Permit:

Online Purchase & Home Mailing: www.myboca.us/webtrac

  • Eligibility: Available only to individuals who have purchased an annual permit in the last two years.
  • Requirement: An active Webtrac account is necessary to complete the online purchase.
  • Delivery: After purchase, your permit will be mailed to the address on file within 5-7 business days. A $10 processing fee applies.

  • Eligibility: Available to those who have purchased an annual permit in the last two years.
  • Requirement: An active Webtrac account is necessary to complete the online purchase.
  • Pickup Location: Boca Raton Community Center (150 Crawford Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33432)
  • Pickup Hours: Please allow 48 hours to process your request.
    • Monday-Friday: 8am-8pm
    • Saturday: 8am-5pm
  • Verification: Bring your printed or digital receipt and current driver’s license.

In-Person Purchase:

Address Verification and Updates

If you need to verify or update your address, ensure your Webtrac account is active. Review the “Household Account Management” section in your account. For updates, please contact one of the community centers. Assistance is available for those without an active Webtrac account by visiting or calling a community center.

Proving Residency:

Residency can be confirmed with a current valid Florida ID showing your resident address. If your ID is from another state or does not match your current address, please provide a current photo ID along with one of the following documents:

  • City of Boca Raton Water bill
  • Florida Power and Light (FPL) bill
  • Long-term rental or lease agreement
  • Notarized letter from condo association
  • 2024 or 2025 Property Tax bill
  • 2024 or 2025 Florida Voter registration card
  • University students and faculty can submit a letter from the Director of Housing.

Proving Vehicle Ownership:

Vehicle ownership is established by presenting one of the following for each vehicle:

  • Current state motor vehicle registration
  • Vehicle title
  • Vehicle bill of sale
  • Vehicle rental or lease agreement in the applicant’s name*
  • Vehicle insurance card

*Passes will be issued based on rental agreement terms.
