BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton resident Jace P. Koretz is suing Boca Raton Bath and Tennis Club for the allegedly critical injuries he sustained on a tennis court there on January 30, 2024. The suit seeks in excess of $50,000.

Koretz, according to the suit, fell on the tennis court due to Boca Bath’s negligence and improper ‘care and maintenance’ of the courts located at 2801 North Military Trail. Attorneys who drafted the complaint obtained by BocaNewsNow.com write that “Boca Bath and Tennis owed a duty of reasonable care to its business patrons by exercising a reasonable care to protect its business invites from dangerous and defective conditions that could injure them.”

But while the suit claims that Koretz, “was severely, significantly and permanently injured within a reasonable degree of medical probability, and had been permanently and significantly scarred and disfigured,” it appears that Mr. Koretz has had something of a recovery. Assuming the social media accounts attached to his name are accurate, we are thrilled to see him holding his apparent fiancé in a way that suggests he regained his agility just months after the injury. The photo was posted in June of 2024, months after the alleged incident.

Boca Bath has yet to file a response to the suit. Koretz is represented by Ginnnis, Krathen, and Zelnick PA of Fort Lauderdale. We note that public records indicate there is just one Jace Kortez in Florida. Read the complete complaint, below.
