The scene on North Federal Highway early Thursday morning where a pedestrian was struck by a car. The City of Boca Raton has not updated its traffic sign in nearly two months.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman was struck and seriously injured by a car early Thursday morning in the 4600 block of North Federal Highway in Boca Raton. North Federal is closed as of 5:45 a.m. as police investigate what happened.

Boca Raton Fire Rescue was on the scene just minutes after the incident around 4:45 a.m. Sources tell BocaNewsNow.com that the young woman sustained significant injuries and was struck by a vehicle possibly traveling between 30 and 50 miles per hour.

The woman was rushed to Delray Medical Center where she is being treated. It was not immediately clear if the striking vehicle remained at the scene or the status of the driver. We will update once Federal Highway is reopened. Police are encourage motorists to stay away from the area which is just north of Spanish River Boulevard.
