Boca Raton Man Jailed, Accused Of Stalking And Threatening Child

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton resident remains in the Palm Beach County Jail mid-day Monday after his arrested on Thursday for allegedly stalking and threatening a child. Phillip Koeckritz, 53, was arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He’s being held on $300,000 bond.

According to a police report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Koeckritz — who lives in the 700 block of NE Boca Bay Colony Drive — sent a series of threatening messages to a child who is the son of someone he is having an issue with. The messages were sent, in part, using the Apple Messages platform. Koeckritz allegedly tried to recall some of the messages, but the child and his parent had already taken screen shots. We note the parent was also threatened with death.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office assigned the Targeted Violence Taskforce to the case which took immediate action. Investigators traced the messages to Phillip Koeckritz and took him into custody. He is charged with “intimidation — written/electronic threat to kill/bodily harm another,” “aggravated stalking — follow, harass, cyberstalking, credible threat to a person,” and “aggravated stalking of a child under age 16.”

Koeckritz was locked up on on September 25th and remains behind bars. If he is released on $300,000 bond, a judge has ordered that he be monitored by GPS tracking device.
