PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Zoe Loren ‘Make a Difference’ Foundation is now accepting entries for its third annual photography contest, inviting middle and high school students to showcase their artistic talents. The competition is free to enter and is open to all Palm Beach County students from seventh to twelfth grade. This year’s theme, ‘Generations,’ encourages young photographers to explore and interpret the connections between different age groups and the passage of time through their unique visual perspectives.
To participate, students must submit a photograph that creatively addresses the theme, accompanied by a written statement of 100 words or less explaining how their work connects to the concept of ‘Generations.’ A panel of judges will evaluate submissions based on several criteria, including technical skill, creativity, responsiveness to the prompt, and overall impact. The contest provides a platform for young artists to gain recognition for their work while engaging with a meaningful subject.
A generous prize package has been assembled to reward the winning students. The first-place winner will receive a $350 gift card for classes at the Armory Art Center and a $500 gift card for B&H Photo. Second-place will be awarded a $200 Armory Art Center gift card and a $350 B&H Photo gift card, while the third-place winner will receive a $200 gift card to both establishments. Additionally, a People’s Choice Award winner will be granted a $200 gift card for B&H Photo.
The annual contest is a tribute to the foundation’s namesake, Zoe Loren, and her passion for art and photography. Established to celebrate her life and honor her memory, the Zoe Loren ‘Make a Difference’ Foundation is dedicated to enriching the lives of local children by creating opportunities for artistic exploration and inspiration. The foundation’s core mission is to support underserved K-12 students in Palm Beach County, believing in the power of art to engage, inspire, and empower young people.
By fostering young talent, the photography competition directly aligns with the foundation’s goal of making the arts more accessible to students throughout the county. Interested students and their families are encouraged to visit the foundation’s website for official rules, submission deadlines, and more information on how to participate in this creative opportunity.
