BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Broward Sheriff’s Office invites you to its Operation Medicine Cabinet and Shred-A-Thon event, where you can shred personal documents and securely dispose of unused, unwanted or expired medications in Parkland.

The free event will occur from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Parkland Equestrian Center located at 8350 Ranch Road.

A maximum of two boxes per vehicle are allowed for shredding. A box can be at most 16 inches long, 12 inches wide and 12 inches high. 

Residents who turn in prescription medications will receive a $5 gift card while supplies last. Needles and sharp objects will not be collected at this event.
