BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — City of Boca Raton residents will face a major decision on the March 10, 2026, election ballot: whether to approve a $175 million general obligation bond. The funds are designated for the construction of a new, modern Police Department Headquarters, and the city is now hosting a public meeting to detail the proposal.
The informational session is scheduled for Monday, November 3, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Spanish River Library, located on the second-floor mezzanine at 1501 Spanish River Blvd. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with a formal presentation running from 6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. A question-and-answer period will follow from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The city has released conceptual renderings of the proposed facility, which would be located near Blue Lake and the Boca Raton Innovation Campus. An area map highlighting the project’s footprint also noted that the development “will not inhibit the multi-use path around Blue Lake,” addressing a potential concern for area residents.
City officials emphasize that this presentation is strictly “informational only.” The goal is to provide voters with comprehensive background information, specific details of the proposed project, and key financing facts to help them make an informed decision when they head to the polls next March.
