BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Ongoing work at rail crossing in South Palm Beach County is leading to the closure of a major intersection in Boca Raton. The closure starts Saturday evening and continues through Monday morning.
The intersection of Dixie Highway and Glades Road was first announced in early October. It follows the closure of other intersection up and down Dixie Highway. The closure is overseen by FEC Railway which oversees the rails.
According to the City of Boca Raton: “The road closure for Glades Road is scheduled from 11/1 at 6:00PM to 11/3 at 11:59PM. If necessary, the closure may be extended to 11/4 at 4:00AM.”
Other crossings in Boca Raton will be open while the Glades/Dixie crossing is closed.
