BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman is facing serious charges in Palm Beach County after she was arrested twice within a week for a string of alleged organized retail thefts in the Boca Raton area.

Police say the suspect, Tatyana Shavone Johnson, was identified and apprehended following a collaborative effort between the Boca Raton Police Department, local retail security, and the South Florida Criminal Apprehension Team (SFCAT). The arrests followed an intensive period of investigation into ongoing theft activity throughout October and early November.

The initial arrest occurred on October 31, 2025. According to police reports, Johnson had allegedly targeted a Dick’s Sporting Goods store. During that incident, officers recovered stolen merchandise valued at approximately $700. Johnson was subsequently booked into the Palm Beach County Jail, but her stay was short-lived. She was released from custody on November 1, 2025, and investigators quickly noted a resumption of the theft pattern, with the suspect allegedly shifting focus to Publix stores, targeting items like cosmetics and various home goods.

Detectives worked swiftly to locate the suspect following her release. Just three days later, on November 4, 2025, Johnson was found and taken back into custody for the second time. During this second arrest, law enforcement recovered an additional amount of stolen merchandise. The total value of goods recovered in the second incident was approximately $1,400. The quick turnaround between her release and re-arrest highlights the persistent nature of the alleged organized retail crime ring investigators are seeking to disrupt.

Following the second arrest, Johnson was processed and booked once more into the Palm Beach County Jail. Authorities are apparently taking the multiple offenses seriously, as the suspect is currently being held with no bond.
