BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A popular Boca Raton Açaí bowl restaurant is facing a major lawsuit after a man from France claims he was seriously injured by a sink in the establishment’s restroom. Nicolas Jadoun filed the negligence complaint against Playa Bowls Boca LLC in Palm Beach County Circuit Court, seeking damages in excess of $50,000. The incident allegedly occurred on or about January 25, 2025, at the Playa Bowls location at 895 East Palmetto Park Road.

The lawsuit, just filed on November 7th and obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, alleges that Playa Bowls owned, operated, and maintained the premises and had a duty to keep it in a reasonably safe condition for its customers. According to the complaint, the restaurant knew or should have known that the restroom sink posed a risk of bodily injury. The suit accuses the company of multiple failures, including failing to properly install, construct, repair, or replace the sink in a prudent manner, and failing to warn Jadoun of the “dangerous and/or hazardous condition.”

Jadoun’s attorneys argue the restaurant breached its duty by failing to exercise reasonable care in the inspection of the sink and by allowing the dangerous condition to remain. The complaint also alleges the company failed to train its employees on proper inspection methods and may have violated applicable building codes in how the sink was constructed or maintained. The suit notes there was “inadequate and/or nonexistent visible deterrence” to prevent the use of the sink.

Although it’s unclear exactly what happened with the sink, the alleged victim claims it was a big deal. Jadoun claims he suffered significant “bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, [and] loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life.” Playa Bowls had not filed a response as of Tuesday afternoon.
