Papa John’s Consumer Alert

DOOR DASH DISGUSTING. Papa Johns Outsources Delivery. It Doesn’t Go Well.

Papa John’s Consumer Alert
BocaNewsNow.com advise avoiding Papa John’s in South Palm Beach County. It’s a Consumer Alert.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Papa Johns locations in South Palm Beach County should be avoided at all cost. That’s the BocaNewsNow.com warning after we received multiple complaints about the company’s quasi-new use of Door Dash to deliver pizza and other food. The food arrives late, cold, and it appears at times “handled.”

BocaNewsNow.com ran multiple test orders over the past few months after receiving several complaints. Our experience mirrors what our readers revealed. The food routinely arrived nearly an hour after the pre-set time, and only after ordering did the Papa Johns app or website reveal that “Door Dash” was handling the delivery. On all occasions, well after the confirmed delivery time, the “Door Dasher” claimed to be still waiting for food at a Papa Johns location. Yet in all of our tests — which always involved a phone call to a manager — various managers confirmed that the food the “Door Dasher” claimed wasn’t ready had actually been waiting for quite some time.

In every one of our tests, the “Door Dashers” were non-English speaking which is problematic when they can barely communicate why they were late or why they made multiple other stops, delaying time-confirmed deliveries even further. We also note that on ALL occasions, pizza was delivered without a sticker to seal the box — raising questions about how the food was handled.

BocaNewsNow.com STRONGLY advises that you avoid Papa Johns in South Palm Beach County — at least until it returns to employee delivery workers. There is apparently no quality control and no customer service priority for Palm Beach County Papa Johns locations. While local delivery people working for traditional pizza and Italian restaurants have to answer to those restaurants, it is apparent that these “Door Dashers” summoned by Papa Johns answer to no one. It’s a sign that Papa Johns doesn’t care about customers in South Palm Beach County — and has no interest in ensuring its image or perceived food quality.
