UPDATE: As of 9:45 a.m., everything is relatively back to normal.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — There are multiple crashes this morning on the Florida Turnpike, but two in South Palm Beach County as of 8:40 a.m. are causing major traffic delays.

The Florida Department of Transportation says the crashes — southbound between Boynton Beach Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue — are leading to big problems. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue is on the scene of both. It’s unclear if anyone is injured, but it is clear that traffic is backed up for miles. One appears to be on the side of the Turnpike, while another involving multiple cars is in the center lane.

A third southbound crash in the area of Hypoluxo Road as of 8:40 a.m is causing additional delays.

Your best bet: get off the Florida Turnpike if you can well before Boynton Beach, take side roads to work your way down to Atlantic Avenue or Yamato, then re-enter southbound.
