UPDATE AT 6:35 a.m. — This now appears to be the off-ramp from the Florida Turnpike onto Glades Road. That’s marginally better, but only marginally. Welcome to Monday morning after a holiday.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A pickup truck apparently drove into the side of the Florida Turnpike around 6:10 a.m. Monday. While the truck is only blocking one lane, that is likely enough to start to cause significant traffic issues over the next several minutes.

FDOT cameras show the silver pickup in the southbound lane, just south of Glades Road. Neither Palm Beach County Fire Rescue nor FHP were on the scene as of 6:28 a.m.

One person is seen standing on the side of the road, seemingly waiting for assistance. Another vehicle is trying to block traffic.

Add extra time this morning if you’re heading south on the Florida Turnpike for the next half hour or so.
