BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man suffered a major medical incident on I-95 in Boca Raton Saturday afternoon. Incredibly, other motorists speeding by at highway speeds thought something looked wrong and called 911. Those calls may have saved the man’s life. Boca Raton Fire Rescue shut down I-95 and rushed the man to Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
Sources familiar with the incident but not authorized to speak to BocaNewsNow.com tell us that motorists thought it was odd that a vehicle was basically “hugging” the side of an overpass wall on I-95 around 3:05 this afternoon. FDOT cameras in the area — although somewhat blocked by highway signs — showed what happened next. Boca Raton Fire Rescue was on the scene within minutes, stopping traffic.
Paramedics, we are told, found the man unconscious. He was immediately moved to an ambulance and rushed to Boca Raton Regional. His condition was unclear as of 5 p.m.
Traffic on I-95 was stopped for only several minutes as Boca Raton Fire Rescue professionals — with precision and speed — blocked the lanes so they could safely do what they needed to do. The man has not been identified. This is not be considered anything but a medical emergency.
