We are one of the top hyper-local news websites in the United States and more powerful than most local radio, TV stations. Thanks for your trust and support.

BY: ANDREW COLTON | Editor and Publisher BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — As 2026 gets underway, we wanted to say “thank you” for trusting BocaNewsNow.com and making us a daily part of your life. BocaNewsNow.com turns 15 this year and that wouldn’t be possible without the huge support we receive from you and readers like you nationwide and worldwide. We logged tens of millions of page interaction in 2025 — a seemingly unprecedented accomplishment in our day and age of scattered, largely untrusted news media.
Proving that we put our money where our mouth is, BocaNewsNow.com spends thousands of dollars a year obtaining public records to make sure that our leaders are honest and that our community knows what’s going on. Our advertisers help make that possible, and we thank the local and national brands that appreciate the power of the local press. We also appreciate our advertisers who realize that very few — and we mean VERY few — people listen to local news on the radio or even watch it on TV. We are where news consumers are, and our numbers dwarf old school media. Wasting money on local broadcast is actually wasting money. Fun fact: only a few hundred people a day listen to local news radio stations. BocaNewsNow.com’s numbers leave radio in the dust.
We know that we are often imitated and frequently plagiarized. We know that there are “local news” websites that are just auto-publishing arrest logs and pretending it’s journalism. It’s not, and we don’t take part in that desperate attempt for relevance. Journalism is asking questions, providing context, explaining why stories matter, why an arrest matters, and engaging in the fearless pursuit of the truth. We know that we sometimes irritate local authorities, law enforcement, government officials, and other public employees. They know — as do we — that it’s part of the job. Someone’s got to ask the questions — that seems to be a lost art. (Case in point: the Palm Beach Post Wednesday evening ran an article about local rotisserie chicken. People really pay for subscriptions for this?)
To everyone who interacts with BocaNewsNow.com, we thank you and wish you a successful 2026. We have big things coming. We promise to remain free. And we are always just an email — news @ bocanewsnow.com, or text (561-576-NEWS) — away.
