BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A prominent local restaurant owner is facing a domestic battery charge following a physical altercation at a residence in Palm Beach County. Louis Joseph Bossi, 58, was arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on Monday morning. Bossi was taken into custody just after 12:44 p.m. and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. Bossi’s name is on Louie Bossi in Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, and Fort Lauderdale.

The arrest stems from a domestic dispute In a West Boynton Beach home that reportedly turned physical over a disagreement regarding prescription medication. According to a probable cause affidavit, a woman at the scene told deputies that Bossi threw a water bottle at her before grabbing her by the hair and pushing her against a wall. The victim further alleged that Bossi grabbed her wrist and attempted to pull her toward a bedroom door while shouting threats to kill her.

Responding deputies noted visible injuries on the scene, including bruising and scratches on the woman’s right wrist. While Bossi reportedly admitted to a verbal argument, he provided a different account of the physical contact. He told investigators that he only placed his hands on the woman’s shoulders to stop her from aggressively approaching him during their dispute. The woman was described by officers as being upset, crying, and fearful during the investigation.

Bossi is now charged with one count of simple battery (domestic). Records indicate that he was placed in handcuffs and transported to the jail without further incident.
