POMPANO BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 24-year-old man who vanished from Pompano Beach earlier this week. The young man was last seen Monday, Jan. 12, around 1 p.m. in the area of the 20 block of South Federal Highway. Authorities tell BocaNewsNow.com that they are concerned for his well-being, as his mother informed investigators that he currently lives with mental illness.
The missing man is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He is easily identifiable by several distinct tattoos, most notably the words “send help” across his knuckles. Other ink includes an octopus on his chest, a bluefin tuna on his shoulder, a tiger on his left thigh, and a compass located on the right side of his neck.
When he was last spotted on Monday afternoon, he was wearing a white sweater paired with black pants and white shoes. While the BSO Missing Persons Unit is leading the search, they are leaning on the community to keep an eye out for anyone matching this description. Even small details regarding his movements since Monday could prove vital to bringing him home safely.
If you have seen him or have any information regarding where he might be, investigators urge you to reach out immediately. You can contact BSO Detective Leonard Charla directly at 954-321-4274.
