Traffic is stopped on the Southbound Florida Turnpike in Boynton Beach as of 7:05 p.m. Monday. (FDOT).

UPDATE AT 7:22 p.m. — One person has been removed from the overturned vehicle. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. It appears that one lane of traffic is now moving by the scene extremely slowly.

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A rollover crash on the Southbound Florida Turnpike in the area of Boynton Beach Boulevard has closed the Turnpike as of 7:05 p.m.

One car apparently flipped on the Turnpike. At least one person was seriously injured, and the car is blocking the roadway. It’s unclear if any other vehicles were involved. The area is in the middle of the ongoing construction zone.

If you are heading southbound on the Florida Turnpike, we advise you to get off before Boynton Beach Boulevard, perhaps head over to Lyons Road, head south, then return to the turnpike at Atlantic.
