Rumors Are Wrong: All Schools, Public and Private, Are Operating.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — All public and private schools in Palm Beach County Monday are operating as usual. Rumors circulating that the Palm Beach County School District is closed due to extreme cold are completely incorrect. Major private schools in Palm Beach County and North Broward County are also operating as expected.
The National Weather Service extended the “freeze warning” through late this morning, but that is not affecting schools. School closures often are based on the ability for school busses to operate safely. While strong winds are an issue, cold air is not. Winds are negligible as of 5:45 a.m.
