
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A cold weather advisory will again go into effect overnight, so Palm Beach County is again opening several Cold Weather Shelters. The following is the official announcement transmitted to BocaNewsNow.com:
>> The National Weather Service in Miami issued a cold weather advisory that impacts Palm Beach County. The cold weather advisory primarily impacts Western Palm Beach County. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure. The National Weather Service predicts temperatures throughout Palm Beach County in the low 40’s and wind chill values in the low to mid 30’s. This, combined with precipitation, has led to the decision to open cold weather shelters throughout Palm Beach County.
On Thursday, February 5, 2026, the following cold weather shelters will open overnight beginning at 7:00 P.M. and close at 9:00 A.M. Friday February 6, 2026.
Belle Glade Transitional Shelter and Lake Village at the Glades
Westgate Park and Recreation Center
Salvation Army Center of Hope
