BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — ManCave — a barber shop in the Mission Bay shopping center — is suing a former hair stylist, claiming she quit ManCave to go set up her own “Chop Shop Barber Shop” within the Salonz Beauty and Spa Suites just doors away. The suit against Rosanne Bezerra Silva was just filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court. ManCave seeks in excess of $50,000.

ManCave claims that Silva is in breach of her non-compete, and that opening up a new business just yards away from ManCave is a blatant violation of her five mile radius ban that’s supposed to continue for two years.

ManCave’s owners say the move is more than just a matter of proximity. They allege Silva is actively “trading on” their established brand and goodwill by using similar service descriptions and styles that could confuse longtime customers. The suit claims that during her nearly three years with the company, Silva’s clientele and compensation tripled, largely due to the resources, booking systems, and reputation provided by the ManCave brand.

The lawsuit also claims that ManCave has video evidence of Silva recording client names and contact information directly from their proprietary point-of-sale system before her departure. They contend she has since used that “stolen” data to solicit and divert clients to her new suite, causing what they describe as immediate and irreparable harm to the business.

ManCave is represented by Lyle E. Shapiro of Herskowitz Shapiro in Miami. Silva has not yet responded to the claims against her through a filing processed by the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts.
