UPDATE: Now Camino and Military Trail, Too.
UPDATE 9:25 a.m. — Eastbound traffic at the Palmetto and Military crossings is again moving. Westbound traffic at the Camino and Military crossings is also moving.
UPDATE 7:47 a.m. — Now Military Trail is involved. To recap: the train crossings west of I-95 at Camino Real, Palmetto Park Road, and Military Trail are all closed due to malfunctioning crossing gates.
UPDATE 7:31a.m. — Boca PD tells us that the crossing arm at Camino Real is also stuck.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A malfunctioning railroad crossing arm at the tracks on Palmetto Park Road just west of I-95 is causing big problems Monday morning.
Boca Raton Police issued an advisory just before 7 a.m. Monday encouraging motorists to find other routes. It’s unclear what led to the crossing arm malfunction or how long it will take until a repair team can fix the issue. Sometimes it’s a matter of minutes. Sometimes it’s hours. We received multiple “complaints” when we did not alert about a closure last week, so we’re publishing this right away.
If you normally drive west of I-95 on Palmetto Park Road, prepare for delays. Check back for updates.
