File Extremely Graphic Response To Defense Motion For Dismissal.

BY: ANDREW COLTON | Editor and Publisher | BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Prosecutors seeking up to life imprisonment for the husband of former Whispering Pines Elementary School Principal Barbara Riemer say they are opposed to a defense motion to dismiss the case. Norman Riemer, a now ex-employee of the Palm Beach County School District, was arrested last year on multiple counts of molesting children.
As we reported following his arrest, Norman Riemer is accused of sexual contact with two elementary-aged children who were in the Lake Worth home he shares with his wife. There is no allegation that there may be additional victims. Riemer was held in the Palm Beach County Jail for months. He is now free on bond. His attorneys want the case dismissed. A dismissal hearing set for today was just rescheduled for next month.
But prosecutors from the office of Palm Beach County State Attorney Alexcia Cox argue there should be no dismissal. In language that we warn is extremely graphic, prosecutors say that the defense claim that the alleged sexual contact was nothing more than something akin to an accident is absurd. They claim that stories from the alleged victims are consistent with child molestation.
Riemer is represented by powerhouse defense attorney Tyler DiMaio of the Suskauer Law Firm. He has routinely declined to comment on his client’s case.
We are publishing both the defense motion for dismissal, and the very strongly worded response from prosecutors. Both are available below.
Barbara Riemer left her position as principal of Whispering Pines Elementary School in West Boca Raton at the end of the 2024-25 school year — just weeks after her husband was arrested. Norman Riemer was fired from his position as a science “specialist” upon his arrest.
