Cannabis Arrest in Ramapo
State Police at the Monroe station reported a significant drug seizure early Friday morning in the Town of Ramapo. Following a 1:21 AM report, troopers arrested two individuals, Denzel Delroy Gordon, 24, of Nyack, and Desmond Dorenzo Tylynn, 24, of Spring Valley. Both face multiple felony charges, including:
- Criminal Possession of Cannabis 1st Degree: More than 4 lbs of concentrated cannabis.
- Criminal Possession of Cannabis 2nd Degree: More than 5 lbs of cannabis. Both defendants were held for central arraignment.
DWI Arrests
Troopers across the region were active in interdicting impaired drivers between February 20th and 21st:
- Town of Wawayanda: Thomas Henry Black, 58, of Slate Hill, was arrested at 8:41 PM Friday following a property damage accident on Ridgebury Hill Road. He was charged with DWI (1st offense).
- Town of Monroe: Edgar Ottoniel Calo Gonzalez, 26, of Goshen, was arrested at 10:50 PM Friday and charged with DWI (1st offense).
- City of Middletown: Early Saturday morning at 3:17 AM, Alex Geovanny Paca Tayupanda, 35, was charged with DWI and operating a vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Content of .08% or higher.
- Town of Ramapo: Wilson E. Vimos Mejia, 24, of Monsey, was arrested at 3:22 AM Saturday. In addition to DWI charges, he faces counts of obstructing governmental administration and motor vehicle violations.
- Village of Spring Valley: At 3:58 AM Saturday, Esvin Eduardo Lopez Najera, 37, was arrested and charged with DWI and operating with a BAC of .08% or higher.
Notable Incidents
- Assault and Harassment: Rodney Samuels, 39, of New Hampton, was arrested Friday morning in Monroe and charged with 3rd-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury.
- Criminal Contempt: Mariann Kylee Deblock-Weymer, 40, of Westtown, was arrested Friday afternoon for 2nd-degree criminal contempt for allegedly disobeying a court order.
- Accidents with Injuries: Personal injury accidents were reported on Interstate 84 in Deerpark involving Nancy L. Karlovich, 46, and on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Stony Point involving Michael B. G. Robinson, 39.
