PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Thursday morning is warning of a truck fire causing huge delays on the Florida Turnpike.

The alert, issued around 6:45 is for a complete closure of the southbound lanes between Indiantown Boulevard and PGA Boulevard. Northbound is flowing, but extremely slowly.

It’s unclear if anyone was injured or what led to the fire. Fire Rescue and FHP remain on the scene. Expect the delays to continue throughout the morning. Here is the official alert:

“Southbound Florida’s Turnpike MM 111 between Indiantown Rd and PGA Blvd closed due to semi pulling a tandem-trailer on fire. PBCFR still on scene. Consider alternate routes. Significant southbound delays.”
