Young Girl Vanishes From Palm Beach County 42 Years Ago…

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Investigators have a new name in the 42-year-old disappearance of Christy Luna, and they are turning to the public for help in connecting the final pieces of the puzzle.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is now identifying Warren Williams as a person of interest in the cold case. The development follows the release of a documentary produced by the PBSO Media Team, Finding Christy Luna, which sparked a wave of new attention and tips regarding the 1984 disappearance.
A Renewed Investigation Detective Bill Springer, who has been on the case since PBSO first took over the investigation from the Greenacres Police Department decades ago, remains the lead investigator. While a recent anonymous tip led authorities to a meticulously executed excavation in Lake Worth Beach, no remains were discovered at that site. However, the momentum from the documentary has shifted the focus toward Williams.
Detectives are working to determine exactly what role, if any, Williams played in the disappearance of the young girl. With a person of interest now identified, the push for information has never been more critical. Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County is offering a reward of up to $15,000 for any information that leads to a resolution in this case.
