BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The man arrested at Donna Klein Jewish Academy in Boca Raton on Thursday is identified by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office as Damian Reynolds.
According to the arrest report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Reynolds, 34, was allegedly under the influence of something as he attempted to pick up his children from the school at 9701 Donna Klein Boulevard. At least one concerned witness who works at the school called police.
According to police, school staff and witnesses contacted authorities around 2:58 p.m. after noticing Reynolds appeared impaired. One complainant reported smelling alcohol on Reynolds’ breath and took the step of blocking his truck into a parking space to prevent him from leaving the campus. When deputies arrived, they noted that Reynolds had dilated eyes, was shaking, and struggled to maintain his balance while speaking.
Reynolds then allegedly had issues completing field sobriety tests administered by responding deputies. While Reynolds allegedly claimed he could pass any test, deputies noted he was slurring his words. He eventually told officers he could not perform the horizontal gaze nystagmus task and struggled significantly with the walk-and-turn test, allegedly falling off the line twice before telling deputies he simply couldn’t finish it. Deputies also say he lost his balance during a one-leg stand attempt.

Reynolds was taken into custody and transported to a testing facility, where records show he refused to submit to a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content. He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on a charge of DUI. Records indicate Reynolds, a project manager living on Buena Ventura Drive, was released early Friday. A court date is pending.
