Act quickly if you want to secure a spot for your child in the Palm Beach County School District’s “aftercare” programs for next school year.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Parents in Palm Beach County looking for after-school care for the upcoming school year need to act today. Registration for the School District of Palm Beach County’s after-school programs for the 2026-2027 school year opens (or opened) today at 6 p.m. The programs serve incoming kindergartners and students in grades K-5, offering what the district describes as a safe, enriching environment during out-of-school hours.

Parents can register through the district’s online portal, Eleyo, by submitting an after-school program contract request. Enrollment is open for all eligible grade levels. Submitting a request does not guarantee a spot — acceptance is based on available slots on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents will be notified by email if their request is approved, and those on a waitlist will hear back by Friday, May 8, 2026.

There is a $35 registration fee for elementary after-school programs, due once a contract request is approved. Payment can be made online through Eleyo or in person at the school site by check or money order. School District employees with children enrolled in K-5 programs are eligible for a 25% tuition discount by submitting Form PBSD 2476. That form must be submitted each school year for each enrolled child — discounts do not roll over. The employee discount submission window opens July 1, with an August 31 deadline for the discount to take effect September 1.

Parents whose children are not currently enrolled in a district-operated program should contact their school’s after-school director for help setting up an Eleyo account. For general questions about after-school programs, the District’s Extended Learning Office can be reached at (561) 687-6387.
