The move, confirmed by the White House, comes as Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer is set to resign.
We reported on Keith Sonderling a little more than a year ago when he was confirmed as deputy labor secretary. From our reporting on January 17, 2025: “Keith Sonderling’s legal career started at the law firm Gunster in West Palm Beach. He was later appointed by former Florida Governor Rick Scott to serve as a Commissioner on the Fourth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. He is a respected South Floridian known for putting people in front of politics.”
Keith graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Florida, and the Shepard School of Law at Nova Southeastern University.
Keith is the son of Dr. Howard Sonderling, one of the nation’s leading Gastroenterologists. Dr. Sonderling just retired after a highly successful career in Boca Raton.
