Adderral. Seroquel. Pulls Needle From Arm During Blood Test At Hospital…

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton police officer responding to a crash on Clint Moore Road found a woman missing from the scene — and a school bus with 15 children on board that she had struck before losing control of her vehicle. Mary Aimee Elisabeth Tedder, 47, of Oakland Park, was later arrested on charges of DUI with property damage, leaving the scene of an accident, and refusal to submit to chemical testing.
According to a Boca Raton Police Department probable cause affidavit reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, a witness told investigators he was driving westbound on Clint Moore Road around 7:33 a.m. on April 15th when he observed a black Kia Sportage SUV cross a painted roadway separator, travel the wrong way in eastbound lanes, strike the center concrete median, cross three westbound lanes, drive onto the sidewalk, and hit a sign and several bushes near 1905 Clint Moore Road. Prior to the final crash, the vehicle had also struck the passenger side rear of Palm Beach County School Bus 8519, which was carrying 15 children just yards from Calusa Elementary School. The witness said he saw the driver exit the vehicle and walk away from the scene — and he and another woman chased after her.

Officers found Tedder had bloodshot, watery eyes, was unsteady on her feet, and spoke with slurred speech, according to the affidavit. There was no odor of alcohol. When interviewed, Tedder said she could not remember being in a crash, did not know what city she was in, and believed the date was the 17th. She told the arresting officer she had consumed approximately six Adderall and Seroquel. When asked why she left the scene, Tedder reportedly told investigators she was trying to find a church so she could go to a pool and get baptized. No field sobriety exercises were conducted due to her erratic behavior and repeated attempts to pull away from officers.
Tedder was transported to Delray Medical Center, where a doctor ordered blood work, urine testing, and CT scans. When a nurse attempted to draw a blood sample, Tedder forcefully pulled the needle from her arm, resulting in a formal refusal. She is set for a first appearance in court in mid-May.
