The crash happened on April 9, 2026, just after 9:30 p.m., according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. The dead man is identified as Stanley Jacques, 26, of Lantana.
According to investigators, Jacques was riding a 2003 Kawasaki KX motorcycle southbound on Sea Pines Way when he failed to stop at a stop sign and made a right turn onto Hypoluxo Road — directly into the path of a westbound 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan driven by Biao Yang, 36, of Boynton Beach. The front of the motorcycle struck the right front wheel and fender area of the Tiguan. Jacques was thrown from the motorcycle, struck the right side of the windshield, and impacted the roadway. The motorcycle came to rest against the curb on the north side of Hypoluxo Road.
Yang, who was wearing a seatbelt, was uninjured and brought the Tiguan to a controlled stop in the inside westbound lane. Jacques was transported from the scene to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach with serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased by medical personnel on April 24, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. — fifteen days after the crash. No charges were listed as of the time of this report.
The investigation into the crash continues.
