UPDATE at 2:14 p.m. — FDOT reports the exit ramp at Linton just reopened.
DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2026 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man jumped from the overpass at Linton Blvd and I-95 around 11:30 this morning. He was then hit by a tractor trailer.
While we do not routinely report suicide attempts, this situation resulted in significant traffic issues. The Linton Road off-ramp is now closed as a result of the incident.
The man, who sources say is in the 60s, was found alive at the scene by paramedics from Boca Raton and Delray Beach who both rushed to aid the man. FDOT cameras showed heroic efforts by all first responders as they tried to stabilize the patient.
